Ingredients
- 1 package beef smoked sausage (or your preferred type)
- 1 yellow or white onion
- 1 green bell pepper (feel free to add more varieties)
- 1 tablespoon fresh or minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup browning sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon each of garlic powder, black pepper, parsley, and Italian herbs
Instructions
1. Preparation
- Slice the sausage, onion, and bell pepper.
2. Sauté Sausage
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausage slices and cook for 3-5 minutes.
3. Add Aromatics
- Incorporate the garlic and seasonings, stirring well.
4. Cook Vegetables
- Add the onion and bell pepper to the pan. Mix thoroughly and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Simmer
- Pour in the browning sauce and beef broth. Cover the pan and let it simmer on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Serve hot over rice or with your choice of side. For added variety, consider including vegetables like tomatoes, mushrooms, or okra.
